// PROTECT NATURAL WEALTH

Ny Harena

In the southwest of Madagascar, we work to preserve and restore the spiny forest and its ecosystem while taking into account the needs of local communities

About Us

Ny Harena association (treasure in Malagasy) was created in May 2024. Its mission is to preserve forests in Madagascar, by implementing conservation and restoration projects as well as environmental education and capacity building actions for local communities with the aim of protecting the biodiversity of Malagasy forests.

OUR MISSIONS

Education

Protection

The protection of fauna and flora is at the heart of our action. We work actively to preserve endangered species and their natural habitats, by setting up conservation and rehabilitation projects to ensure the sustainability of biodiversity.

Impliquer la future génération

We encourage civic engagement in favor of the environment through awareness-raising actions, collaborative projects and clean-up campaigns. By involving the community, we strengthen the impact of our actions and promote collective awareness for the preservation of our ecosystem.

The first project carried out by the association revolves around the restoration of a plot of thorny bush forest to the east of the village of Mangily (Belalanda-Toliara) on the southwest coast of Madagascar.
